Genital warts are small bumps like growths on the genitals. Sometimes, these bumps are too small to be visible by naked eyes. They cause itching and pain in the genital area. Some chemical is applied on the area to make warts growth more visible. Swab test is also done sometimes, in which a swab is taken to check if HPV is present or not.

Most of the time, genital warts go away by themselves. However, HPV might linger in your body and causes outbreaks of the infection after intervals of time.
